Breanna Bunnett M.A., Registered Psychotherapist
Breanna is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Breanna’s clinical practice focuses on adolescents and adults. In her clinical work, Breanna helps her clients navigate their overwhelming feelings and challenges revolving around anxiety, depression, relationship/familial conflict, prenatal and postpartum, and trauma.
Breanna works to help her clients identify the thoughts that have led to the overwhelming feelings that they are experiencing, so that they can uncover the underlying core beliefs that have shaped these thoughts. Often, we experience dysfunctional core beliefs, and so Breanna helps her clients develop the skills to challenge these core beliefs and create more positive thinking patterns.
Experience
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Gender Studies, and a Masters in Counselling Psychology, Breanna has developed a passion for helping individuals persevere through their mental health struggles by helping them develop greater self-awareness and self-esteem.
Client Focus
Adults, Teens 14+, VAC, and First-Responders.
Types of Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical behaviour Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy and Neurofeedback are some of the therapeutic approaches utilized by Breanna.
More than just my work: Breanna enjoys playing hockey and exploring the outdoors. She likes to pick up a good book, listen to country music, and spend time with her family.

Approach
I support individuals ages sixteen and above experiencing challenges with their mental health and life circumstances. My approach is compassion-focused with the intention of creating a safe space for your healing. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and that my role as your supporter is to honour and help you to access the wisdom that already exists within you while offering gentle insight and opportunities for growth, change, and empowerment using evidence-based treatment modalities. We will work together to help you understand the neurobiology of the condition you are experiencing, how this impacts your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and how to work with your body instead of feeling at war with your natural instincts.
I tailor my approach to my clients’ unique needs, strengths, and values. Whether you have a specific goal in mind or are looking for general support, we will work collaboratively in a manner consistent with your expectations. In addition to the modalities listed below, I approach all interactions through culturally humble and trauma-informed lenses.
You do not have to walk this road alone. Everyone deserves to have the opportunity to process their experiences, thoughts, and emotions in a safe, affirming, and productive space. I look forward to working together in support of your wellbeing.
